The iPhone Invasion Resembling the American Dream

Owning an iPhone and making use of one is like the new American dream. After all, the concept of American dream is so flexible that it can stand for a lot of things such as owning a house, or to start your own business.

Technologically speaking, the iPhone is not just a phone, not even just another cool smartphone. Its introduction on the market has set the trend for the touch screen phone era. What it started changed the world as we know it in terms of technology. When the first iPhone hit the market it had software installed known as an operating system which allowed programs (to function) made by different people.

These programs were called applications, or shortly apps. Developers worldwide began working on creating various iPhone apps that had a wide range of usage. The App Store now probably has thousands of these applications available. Some of them are available for free, while a part of them have to be bought in order to use them.

It is very true that a few years ago, buying and therefore getting to own a GPS system for your vehicle was a significant investment. The iPhone changed that. Now any smartphone owner can download an application that is very much similar to a GPS and functions just like one, making a GPS system useless. The iPhone also made shopping and transactioning easier.

Actually it simplified the work for us, taking all the functions of a computer when one was not available near by. For instance one does not have to wait until he gets home in order to shop online from his notebook computer but can easily attend to his or her online shopping list by using an iPhone. Likewise one can get involved in banking transactions and a whole range of things by using an iPhone.

For many of us, the American dream stands for innovation and creating new things that are meant to improve the quality of our lives in general. Take cars for instance. That’s an invention that helped human kind evolve somewhat. A mobile phone helped the society we live in today more than we realize it, for we perceive mobile phones as an integrated part of our lives but things were not always like this.

The iPhone entered the scene in a moment when wireless technology hit a very high stage in its development, a moment that allowed smartphone users to operate a smartphone just as a remote control to life’s components. Cell phone operators have started dropping the prices for their services, due to the competition.
